Yesterday again the stock market opened in red, Sensex fell by 173 points and Nifty by 48 points

Share Market Opening 16th October 2024: After opening in the green mark for two consecutive days, the Indian stock market opened in the red mark today on Wednesday. On the third day of the week, the BSE Sensex opened with a decline of 173.52 points at 81,646.60 points while the NSE Nifty 50 also opened with a decline of 48.80 points at 25,008.55 points. Let us tell you that on Tuesday, October 15, the domestic stock market opened in the green mark with a gain but closed in the red mark with a decline.

Shares of 18 out of 30 Sensex companies are in the red

At 9.18 am on Wednesday, when trading began, only 12 out of 30 Sensex companies’ shares were trading in the green zone, while the shares of all the other 18 companies were trading in the red zone. Similarly, 26 out of 50 Nifty 50 companies’ shares were trading in the green zone and 24 in the red zone.

Power grid stock saw the biggest rise.

At 9.18 am, Power Grid’s shares were trading the highest among Sensex companies with a gain of 0.53 percent. Apart from this, shares of Bharti Airtel, NTPC, Sun Pharma, Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, JSW Steel, HDFC Bank, Asian Paints, Tata Steel, Tata Motors and State Bank of India were also trading in the green.

Mahindra & Mahindra shares fell the most.

Shares of Mahindra & Mahindra were trading with a maximum decline of 1.20 percent. Along with this, shares of TCS, ITC, Nestle India, Infosys, IndusInd Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Titan, UltraTech Cement, ICICI Bank, Hindustan Unilever, Reliance Industries, Maruti Suzuki, Adani Ports, Tech Mahindra, Larsen & Toubro, HCL Tech and Axis Bank were also trading in the loss.
