Salman Khan publicly addressed social media trolls who criticized his fatigued appearance in recent public outings. Besides that, he also mocked those who take issue with the large age differences between him and his actresses. The actor spoke these words at the Sikandar trailer launch event in Mumbai that is set to release on Eid.
While the host was praising Salman for his appearance, the actor interrupted, “Beech mein aisa gadbad ho jaata hai ki 6-7 raat soye nahin, fir vo social media vaale peeche padd jaate hain, unko dikhaana padta hai abhi bhi hai.” (At times, things get so messed up that I don’t sleep for six to seven nights. Then, those social media people start chasing me, so I have to show them that I’m still here).
In other comments, the 59-year-old actor spoke about the backlash his young female co-stars face, who have become the hallmark of his more recent films, including Sikandar where he stars opposite 28-year-old Rashmika Mandanna.
Salman said, “Then they say, ‘There is 31 years age difference between me and the heroine’ And I say, ‘But if the heroine has no problem, and even her father has no problem, then why do you have a problem, bhai?’ When she gets married, and has a daughter I will work with her daughter too. Her mother’s permission will be taken care of.”
