Chief of OYO, Ritesh Agarwal, recently revealed that to better illustrate his personal sense of cleanliness to his staff, he actively participates in the tedious task of cleaning the bathrooms of his establishments.
“I still, sometimes, clean washrooms as a role modeling exercise,” he stated in an event hosted on the first of March in Mumbai, “Mumbai Tech Week”.
Since being founded in 2013, OYO has quickly grown and now boasts over a million rooms available in 80 nations.
Agarwal too has expanded his view on being a successful entrepreneur, "I think as an entrepreneur on day one, you have to leave fear, embarrassment, pride, arrogance, everything outside the room and enter, because these are the biggest enemies of entrepreneurial success’.
The 29-year-old “self-made” billionaire entrepreneur continued, "For some this is hard to swallow because it is not what we are brought up to accept.”
“Stop gloating, it is my turn to work as well as accepting help from others. Are you allowing me to shine, or are you trying to smear oil on my candles? I know what I am after, and it makes a wide difference.” These statements were made to address the questions concerning emerging entrepreneurs and overcoming the fear of failure in the business world.
