Bhagalpur's State Bus Terminal: The Government of Bihar is modernizing and improving the transport facilities. In different parts of the state, modern bus stands are being constructed on a state level to enable better traveling facilities for people. Buses and other inter-state transport services will now be more easily available from Bhagalpur. The preliminary land survey has already been carried out and selected locations for the bus terminal are now finalized. With this development, Bhagalpur will become a new bus terminal for various state buses and transport services. You must be aware that there are two bus terminals in the city of Bhagalpur. At present, buses ply to limited destinations which is convenient for passengers. But the construction of the new interstate bus terminal will make travel more accessible to other states.
Bus station will be constructed on a land spanning 15 acres.
District Magistrate Naval Kishore Chaudhary has disclosed that a site has been earmarked in Gora Dih for the inter-state bus depot. ``We will construct a bus terminal on 15 acres of land. Rs 48 crore has been allocated for this,'' stated he. ``I have been assured that the report of the selected land will be prepared and sent soon for the master plan. Then the blueprint for the bus depot will follow. The Gora Dih bus station can be constructed like the Patliputra bus terminal of Patna. From there, buses will be operated to every region. The boarding bay will be designated in accordance with the route diagram. The passengers in the state bus terminal will be offered modern amenities. It may be built near National Higher Secondary School of Agarpur, Gora Dih block road. The information that land has also been selected near the airport is also important. This will benefit the citizens too.``
There will be several platforms for municipal buses
Let's offer our people seamless access to the 4 lane road and bus services to the city.
He stated that passengers will be able to board the platforms. Everybody will have easy access to every route.
