
Ayodhya, the sacred birthplace of Lord Ram, is fully decorated and ready to celebrate Ram Navami 2025. With millions of devotees expected, the city has transformed into a vibrant spiritual hub. Cultural programs, traditional rituals, and tight security arrangements are all in place for the festival on April 6.
An estimated 25 to 30 lakh devotees are expected to arrive for the celebration, making it one of the largest gatherings since the consecration of the new Ram Mandir.
Religious Rituals Started on April 4
Preparations inside the Ram Mandir complex began on April 4, with continuous religious ceremonies and prayers. Monasteries and temples across Ayodhya are illuminated and adorned to welcome pilgrims and worshippers from around the world.
During the recent Maha Kumbh, more than 1.75 crore devotees visited Ayodhya over 45 days, and similar enthusiasm is expected for Ram Navami.
Extensive Security and Crowd Management in Place
To ensure smooth movement and safety, officials have divided the city into zones and sectors, with dedicated holding areas to manage large crowds. IG Praveen Kumar and Commissioner Gaurav Dayal are personally overseeing preparations.
Barricading and crowd control measures have been implemented to allow safe and smooth darshan for all devotees.

The religious schedule on Ram Navami Day (April 6) is as follows:
9:30 AM: Abhishekam of Lord Ram begins
10:30 AM: Temple doors closed for Shringar
10:50 AM: Shringar and Abhishek Darshan (Live Telecast)
11:50 AM: Doors closed for Bhog preparations
12:00 Noon: Ram Janmotsav – Birth moment of Lord Shri Ram
12:04 PM to 12:08 PM: Surya Tilak ceremony
Followed by: Aarti and 56 Bhog offerings
Surya Tilak – The Spiritual Highlight
A major attraction of this year’s celebration is the Surya Tilak of Lord Ram, symbolizing divine connection with the Sun God. This spiritual event will occur for four minutes starting at 12:04 PM, precisely after Lord Ram’s symbolic birth at noon.
Real-Time Monitoring with CCTV and Drones
To monitor the massive turnout, Ayodhya is under surveillance with over 1,000 CCTV cameras and drones. A centralized control room has been set up to monitor activities across the city. If any suspicious activity is detected, security teams are immediately deployed.
