A 28-year-old pilot working for Air India Express passed away on Wednesday after suffering a cardiac arrest shortly after landing at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, Delhi. The pilot had recently been married.

According to reports, he began experiencing discomfort immediately after operating a flight from Srinagar to Delhi. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where medical professionals pronounced him dead.

Airline Expresses Condolences and Offers Support to Family

Air India Express released a statement mourning the loss of their colleague. “We deeply regret the loss of a valued colleague due to a medical condition. Our thoughts are with the family during this time of profound grief,” the airline stated.

The spokesperson added, “We are extending all possible assistance to the bereaved family and request everyone to respect their privacy. We also urge the public to avoid unnecessary speculation as we cooperate with relevant authorities.”

The exact cause of the sudden cardiac arrest is yet to be officially confirmed, and an inquiry may follow as per aviation protocols.
