Chinese President Xi Jinping has called on the European Union to stand with China against what he described as "unilateral bullying," following a significant tariff increase announced by U.S. President Donald Trump.

During a meeting in Beijing with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, Xi criticized the new 145% tariffs imposed by the United States, signaling a push for stronger collaboration between China and the EU in response to escalating trade tensions. The comments were reported by China’s official news agency Xinhua.
