Suspense crime, Digital Desk : The shoot of Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan's film King has been delayed. The plans were initially set to start on the 16th of May, 2025, but now look to commence sometime between July and August. This Indian-Pakistani tension, despite having a ceasefire, has impacted the timeline. One part of the production crew has decided to postpone the project until better situations arise diplomatically.

A combination of security issues and creative aspects are influencing the delay. To ensure a favorable reception for Suhana’s big screen debut, Shah Rukh Khan is said to have requested multiple script changes. The storyline needs to work impressively for a big debut intended to serve as a stepping stone for the daughter’s acting career.

The film is set to be headlined by SRK and for his daughter, Suhana, it will be her first on screen role. King is expected to be an Abhishek Bachchan starrer with him taking on a villainous role following the success of Munjya. Siddharth Anand, the director of Pathaan and many other impactful films, is also set as the director alongside Abhay Verma who is rumored to join the cast as well. Another speculation hints at Deepika Padukone entering the film as Simran Khans possible character mother.

The reason for the father-daughter bond in the film is to create emotional depth amidst high-octane action scenes, which are a core characteristic for the film. The cast and theme of the movie increase the attention and add expectations from the viewers.

Other significant projects are dealing with the political scenario at hand. Reportedly, Sitaare Zameen Par by Aamir Khan and Thug Life by Kamal Haasan have been delayed for the same reason.
