On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Dr. Hedgewar Smruti Mandir in Nagpur's Reshimbagh locality. He paid his respects to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) founder Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar and second Sarsanghchalak, M.S. Golwalkar.

During the visit, PM Modi referred to the memorial as a key motivator for swayamsevaks committed to serving the nation. Writing in the message book in Hindi, he highlighted the memorial’s role in upholding core values of Indian culture, nationalism, and the RSS vision.

Modi Expresses Sentiments and National Vision

Calling the site deeply meaningful, Modi wrote, “The memorial of the two strong pillars of RSS is an inspiration to lakhs of swayamsevaks who have dedicated themselves to the service of the nation.”

Sharing his personal thoughts, he added, “I feel deeply moved to visit Smruti Mandir, which keeps alive the memories of Param Pujaniya Dr. Hedgewar and Pujya Guruji.”

Leaders Join Modi at Key RSS Landmark

Accompanying the Prime Minister were top leaders including RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, former general secretary Suresh Bhaiyyaji Joshi, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.

The Smruti Mandir, which contains the memorials of foundational RSS figures, remains an important landmark reflecting the organisation’s legacy and ideological strength.
