According to reports from WABetaInfo, WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta (formerly Facebook), is introducing a new interface for the group settings screen on iOS. This update allows group administrators using the stable version of WhatsApp from the App Store to experiment with the redesigned group settings screen after installing the latest update.
One notable addition is the “Add Other Participants” option, which grants group administrators the ability to choose who can add new members to the group. This feature may be gradually rolled out to users who do not currently have access to it.
The new group settings interface is available to iOS users who update their WhatsApp app from the App Store. It is also being introduced to users of the beta version of WhatsApp.
Additionally, WhatsApp has launched a new feature called “Channels” within the app. Channels provide a means for broadcast messaging, offering a simple, reliable, and private way to receive important updates from individuals and organizations.
Channels are located in a new tab called “Updates,” separate from users’ chats with family, friends, and communities. In this tab, users can find the channels they choose to follow and view their status updates.
