
Recent social media buzz suggested that Disha Patani had been cast as the second female lead in the upcoming period war drama Fauji, starring Prabhas and directed by Hanu Raghavapudi of Sita Ramam fame. However, sources close to the production have firmly dismissed these claims.
“It is all a rumour. We have not approached Disha Patani for Fauji. The casting for the female lead is already finalized, and there is no second heroine,” confirmed a production head.
Who’s Actually in the Cast?
The female lead of Fauji is Imanvi Esmail, who will make her Telugu film debut with this project. The film also features Anupam Kher from Bollywood, alongside veteran actors Jaya Prada and Mithun Chakraborty.

Fauji is a period war drama set in the 1970s, centered around a soldier’s life during wartime, highlighting themes of courage, love, and personal sacrifice. Known for his visually rich storytelling, director Hanu Raghavapudi is expected to deliver yet another cinematic spectacle.
“The film is progressing at a brisk pace and has come out very well. It’s a beautiful story with romance and emotion. We’re confident it will be a blockbuster,” said producer Ravi Yerneni at a recent press meet.
