The Delhi-Dehradun Expressway is nearing completion, with significant sections expected to be operational from October, drastically cutting down travel time between the two cities. Currently taking 5-6 hours, the journey will be reduced to an estimated 2.5 hours once the expressway is fully or partially accessible.
The proposed toll charges for various vehicle categories have been detailed. For a private car, jeep, or van, the toll is estimated to be ₹750. Light commercial vehicles and mini-buses will face charges of ₹1,225. For buses and trucks, the toll is expected to be ₹2,470, while heavy construction machinery, earth-moving equipment, and multi-axle vehicles could be charged up to ₹3,940.
The 210-kilometer-long Greenfield expressway will connect the national capital region to Dehradun, passing through Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, and Haridwar, thereby boosting economic activity and improving connectivity for the entire region.
