You must have often seen in films that an old man goes into a machine and on coming out he becomes young. However, this is possible only in films. It has no relevance in real life, but with this concept, a couple in Kanpur duped thousands of people in the city and fled after defrauding them of about 35 crore rupees in the name of making old people young. Now the victims have approached the police to get their money back. Kanpur Police has filed an FIR against this fraud couple and has started searching for them and is also issuing red corner notices to catch them.
Many famous personalities in the city have fallen prey to this fraud. From politicians to officers, everyone has been duped by this gang. A therapy center was opened in the Kidwai Nagar police station area of Kanpur, where therapy was given to make the elderly young. It was also publicized among the people that this machine has been brought from Israel, which will transform a 60-year-old into a 25-year-old youth. A center named ‘Revival World’ was opened, where therapy to make the elderly young was discussed. The husband and wife living on rent in Kidwai Nagar, who were the main masterminds of this fraud, deceived many people by telling them that due to bad and polluted air, people are becoming old quickly, and oxygen therapy can make them young in a few months.
Fear of fleeing abroad
The fraud couple started adding people by telling them that the charge for one round of therapy was 6 thousand rupees. They created a chain system, in which they also gave a scheme of giving free treatment by adding more people. Many big people in the city got trapped in this. Whereas, these frauds absconded with crores of rupees. This gang of husband and wife took money from many people and also gave therapy in the center in a fake manner, but kept saying that it would take time to grow up and the therapy would be done on time. All these people kept getting trapped in the trap of the fraud couple and these frauds absconded with a huge amount. It is suspected that they have fled abroad.
Complaint of cheating of 35 crores
Complainant Renu Singh Chandel said that she was contacted by two people named Rashmi Dubey and Rajiv and told about oxygen therapy. After this, Renu Singh also connected many people to this fraud couple and many people gave them money through me to make themselves young. In the complaint letter given to the police, Renu Singh has complained about being cheated of Rs 1075000 given by check and has also complained about cheating of about Rs 35 crore from hundreds of people.
Complainant Renu said, “The accused talked about buying the machine from Israel for Rs 25 crore. They offered to invest Rs 6 lakh and Rs 90 thousand in two schemes. Along with this, they talked about rewards for adding people to the scheme and gift hampers for those who added 50 IDs at once. On this, they invested Rs 9 lakh for 150 IDs and lakhs of rupees of their own to expand the business.”
According to Renu, during this time the accused took about 35 crore rupees from the people, but neither were they given oxygen bars nor were they provided with the facility of H Watt (Hyper Baroque Oxygen Therapy). It has been learned that the accused have set up a fake plant and are trying to flee abroad after committing fraud worth crores. The victim complained to Police Commissioner Akhil Kumar, after which Kidwai Nagar Police registered a report on the orders of the Commissioner.
Meanwhile, DCP South Ankita Sharma said that a case has been registered against both the accused based on information and complaints given by the complainant. A red corner notice will also be issued to search them and they will be arrested soon.
