A shocking case of murder of two youths in public has come to light in Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh. According to the information, the youths were murdered after an altercation at a beer shop. After the incident, the family members blocked the national highway by placing the bodies of the deceased on it, due to which long queues of vehicles were formed. Police has said that peace is maintained in the area and the police team is trying to arrest the accused.

Police have informed that this incident happened in Kotwa Narayanpur village of Narhi police station area. Here on Wednesday night, 23-year-old Prashant Gupta and 24-year-old Golu Verma were murdered. Actually, both the youths had gone to buy beer from the shop. According to the information, they had an argument with some youths of the village at the shop. Soon the argument turned into a fight and the accused youths attacked Prashant and Golu with an axe. Due to this, both died on the spot.

Family members jammed the highway

After the murder of Prashant and Golu, the angry family members and villagers blocked the national highway by placing the bodies on it. Everyone was shouting slogans against the police. Due to this, there was a line of vehicles on both sides, after which the police also reached the spot immediately. The police calmed the villagers by talking to them and got the blockade cleared.

What action has the police taken so far?

Police has taken the bodies of deceased Prashant and Golu into custody and sent them for post mortem. According to police, based on the complaint of the relatives of the deceased, a case has been registered against 4 accused under sections of BNS. Three police teams have been formed to arrest the accused. Police has said that peace is prevailing in the area and other legal action is being taken.
