Constipation is a problem due to which the patient 's stomach is not cleaned properly and there are many difficulties during defecation . Due to today 's bad eating habits and lifestyle , this problem affects the body while sitting . If constipation persists for a long time , the risk of serious diseases increases . Use these tips :​​  

Cumin and carom seeds :  Roast cumin and  carom seeds  on low flame and grind them . Add black salt to it and mix all three in equal quantity and keep it in a box . Drink half a teaspoon daily with lukewarm water . This is an effective home remedy to relieve constipation .

Treat constipation  with fennel : Drink one teaspoon of roasted fennel with hot water before going to bed at night . The volatile oils found in fennel improve digestion and increase the production of gastric enzymes .​​​​​​​  

Triphala  Churna  : Take Triphala Churna with warm water before going to bed at night . By doing this for 6 months , even the most chronic constipation problem is cured . Grind 10 gms carom seeds , 10 gms Triphala and 10 gms rock salt and make a powder . Take 3-5 gms of this powder daily with lukewarm water . Triphala Churna is considered to be a very effective remedy for treating chronic constipation .​

Diet in case of constipation​​   

Eat as many fruits , vegetables , and fibrous foods as possible , because lack of fiber - rich food is also a major cause of constipation . It is necessary to have fiber in the daily diet . Also keep in mind that consuming fiber in excess can cause gas and bloating .​​​​​

Among fruits , consume grapes , papaya , apricot , fig , pineapple and pear in large quantities . These fruits are beneficial in constipation problem . Among vegetables , consume green leafy vegetables like cabbage , carrot , broccoli and spinach . Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water daily and consume fluids .
