News from Bihar: The Railway Ministry has plans to open two new rail lines to Bihar this financial year, which will incur an expenditure of over Rs 700 crore. These projects were approved after the meeting of Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav.

A railway line between Sultanganj and Deoghar will be constructed

A new railway line is being constructed between Deoghar and Sultanganj. The approval has been granted and now Shiv devotees will be able to directly travel by train from Sultanganj to Deoghar. This railway line will also ease the commute for lakhs of pilgrims traveling from Sultanganj to Deoghar shrine during the month of Sawan. The total distance of this line will be 78.08 km and it will cost approximately Rs 290 crore.

A new railway line will be constructed between Bihta and Aurangabad

Samrat Choudhary, the Deputy Minister, after meeting the Railway Minister mentioned that the construction for a railway line between Bihta and Aurangabad will be done soon. The preliminary estimate is around Rs 440.59 crore. This will take around 1.5-2 hours from Aurangabad to Patna which is the capital of Bihar. There are twenty four stations on this route which will allow the locals to travel in an easy way.

 

New rail routes provide ease for travelling around Bihar

The completion of these two railway lines will enhance travel facilities in multiple directions within Bihar. The Sultanganj-Deoghar and Bihta-Aurangabad railway lines will offer better access for the local population and the pilgrims.
