Amit Sadh, the actor, recently spoke about his career and whether he received the recognition that he thinks he deserved after starring in Kai Po Che (2013). During some interactions, he spoke candidly about his career so far in the industry.
Amit shared how, after Kai Po Che, he was being offered hero roles, but unfortunately, most of the films did not do well commercially. He mentioned that while those were challenging times for him, those experiences were dierctly proportional to his growth in the industry.
Amit discussed his career progression post the success of the film during an interview with the Times of India, and recounted how things used to revolve around basic survival in the industry back then, saying, “I was able to survive in the film industry by getting love from the audience, and earning money. Uss samay toh yahi rehta tha ki main rent de paaunga time par \u2026 main kisi ke phase wagerah nahi dekhta tha \\(At that time the thought was only if I’d be able to pay rent… I did not see anybody’s phase). My only concern was myself, and I was in a good phase.” \n\nAmit further elaborated, saying “I also got hero roles, but those films didn’t work. I would be silly not to acknowledge that after waiting for so long, Kai Po Che happened, I got love from the audience, I earned money, and I could survive. I will be happy as long as I am offered good roles.”
Amit has starred in movies from a plethora of different genres which only adds to his already diverse career. Other than Kai Po Che, he has worked on Phoonk 2, Guddu Rangeela, Sultan, Akira, Gold, Sarkar 3, Barot House, Super 30, Operation Parindey, Shakuntala Devi, and Sukhee. His versatility goes beyond the silver screen as he has had notable appearances in reality shows like Nach Baliye 1, Bigg Boss 1, Fear Factor India, and MTV Dark Scroll.
Moreover, Amit has showcased his acting range on television in serials like Kyun Hota Hai Pyaar, Kya Hadsaa Kya Haqeeqat, Saaksshi and Kohinoor. He also appeared in Breathe, Breathe: Into the Shadows, and other web series like Avrodh, Jeet Ki Zid, and Duranga. Nonetheless, with all the peaks and valleys, Amit’s ever-growing fondness for the craft gives him the strength to seek out roles he can truly appreciate in the industry.
