The belief that Indians lacked fluency in English seemed to shock her when she shared that fact. She explained to them that studying English in India is a normal part of education so it shocked her when strangers asked if she took courses outside the country. That really shocked me.”
During the interview Aishwarya explained how it is common for married Indians to stay with their parents post-nuptials. Aishwarya told Oprah during the interview that in India the most significant aspect is living and staying connected to family which makes it the most special point.
Arranged marriages served as the most captivating aspect when Aishwarya shared her insights throughout the interview. The Western world generally remains unacquainted with arranged marriages which they frequently mistake as purely financial agreements where personal choice has no role. Through her metaphor of “global matchmaking service” Aishwarya eliminated common misconceptions about arranged marriages. She clarified the process involves engagement then dating with the potential to move forward with the alliance provided the relationship success. If not, they part ways.”
India had an outstanding cultural representative in Aishwarya Rai because she skillfully explained Indian customs to foreign audiences in an approachable manner.
