Rashmi and Sidharth’s Tumultuous Relationship in Bigg Boss 13
Rashmi Desai recently opened up about her conflicts with Sidharth Shukla on Bharti Singh’s podcast. She recalled their turbulent dynamic in Bigg Boss 13 and the strained history they shared before entering the show. “I worked with Sidharth, and my experience was quite different. On Bigg Boss, people saw a different side of us. We had a history, and that led to frequent clashes on the show. It became very bitter. We worked together for nearly two years, but our differences grew to the point where we stopped talking to each other,” Rashmi revealed.
Nine Months of Silence
She further shared that their rift lasted for nearly nine months. “We did not talk to each other for about nine months. The gap between us had widened so much that we didn’t even want to see each other’s faces. However, despite our differences, we remained professional while working together. Sidharth was an incredible co-actor with a kind and clean heart. Unfortunately, 2018 was not a great year for me; I faced many ups and downs in my personal life. During Bigg Boss family week, he brought me water—only he knew what I was going through at that moment,” she said.
An Unspoken Connection
Reflecting on her bond with Sidharth, Rashmi added, “We used to communicate through our eyes—there was an unspoken relationship between us that I truly respect. My niece adored him and often visited him on set. He used to play with her; he loved children very much. Even though we had our differences, I never stopped them from interacting. Their bond remained unaffected.”
Sidharth Shukla tragically passed away due to a heart attack on September 2, 2021. Rashmi’s heartfelt words reflect her deep respect and admiration for her late co-actor, despite their past conflicts. Her memories of their unspoken connection and his warmth towards her family highlight the complexity of their relationship, beyond what was seen on screen.
