Kutch:  The land of Kutch in Gujarat has once again shaken with the tremors of earthquake. An earthquake of magnitude 3.2 was felt in Kutch on Sunday morning. According to the Gandhinagar-based Seismological Research Institute, the tremors of earthquake were felt in Kutch at 10.06 am. Its intensity on the Richter scale was measured at 3.2. Due to the low intensity of the earthquake, there is no news of any casualties or loss of life and property.

Third earthquake with magnitude more than three 

According to the Seismological Research Institute, the epicentre of this earthquake was located 18 km north-north-east of Bhachau. This is the third earthquake of more than three magnitude in the district this month. Earlier, earthquake tremors were felt in Kutch on 23 December and 7 December. On 23 December, an earthquake of 3.7 magnitude hit Kutch. On 7 December too, the land of Kutch trembled due to earthquake tremors. Its intensity on the Richter scale was measured at 3.2.

Earthquake tremors felt in Jammu and Kashmir too

On Friday, earthquake tremors were felt in Jammu and Kashmir as well. The intensity of this earthquake was measured at 4 on the Richter scale. The earthquake tremors were felt in Baramulla district of North Kashmir at 9:06 pm. The epicentre of the earthquake was located at a depth of 10 kilometres. There was no damage of any kind due to the earthquake.

On December 4, earthquake tremors of 5.3 magnitude were felt in Mulugu, Telangana. There was no damage caused by the earthquake. The earthquake tremors were felt at 7:27 am. Many residents of Warangal near Mulugu said that they felt tremors for a few seconds around 7:30 am. Ceiling fans started shaking and items started falling from shelves. Mulugu is about 200 km from the state capital. Retired scientist of National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI) Purnachandra Rao said that earthquakes of more than five magnitude are very rare in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
