Kaushambi: A shocking incident has come to light from a mental shelter home operated in Kaushambi district of UP. Ansar Ahmed, who has worked in this institution, has alleged that the director of the institution kills the mentally ill and smuggles their human organs. Ansar alleged that the bodies are buried under the ground in the premises itself. However, it is also true that on 23rd October, the director of the trust Mehndi Ali filed an FIR against Ansar who made the allegations. Ansar has been accused of misbehaving with Mehndi’s wife in public, beating Mehndi and also beating a little girl (19 months old).
Just a few days after this incident, Ansar Ahmed has now made serious allegations of human trafficking against Mehndi, after which Kaushambi DM formed a team and ordered an investigation into the matter. This case is from Minhajpur village of Sarai Aqeel police station area in Kaushambi.
Police became alert
When the case of the murder of the mentally ill and the smuggling of human organs came to light on Saturday, the police also became alert. Police and LIU together are engaged in investigating the horoscope of the operator of the mental illness shelter so that the whole truth can come out. India TV’s team also reached the village and gathered information about the case, then it was found that this ashram built in about 1.75 bighas was donated in 2018 to the trust director Mehndi Ali Rajput, who used to be Anuj Pratap Singh, a resident of Prayagraj till the year 2017. During this time, Anuj married a Muslim girl and accepted Islam. This man, who has become Mehndi from Anuj, says that all the allegations leveled against him are completely false and have been leveled to trap him. He is appealing to CM Yogi for a detailed investigation into this matter.
What does Mehndi say?
According to Mehndi, people in the area do not like him because he is a Muslim, while Muslims do not like him because he has converted from Hindu to Muslim. Mehndi says that there are currently 21 mentally ill patients in his trust, of which 9 are women and 12 are men. Mostly he gets mentally ill patients through the administration and police, while many times he has also brought patients found on the streets to the ashram.
In the last 2 years, 1 person has died in the ashram. After the death in June 2023, the trust had given written information about it to the DM and SP Kaushambi as well as the District Disabled Welfare Officer. The last rites of the deceased were performed at the electric crematorium in Prayagraj and the trust also showed every information, receipt, and payment slip related to this to India TV. The trust has every record of every government hospital where the patient was taken for treatment, and where all the necessary tests were done. Even every photo during the death and while he was alive is updated in the file. The director of the trust is calling all these allegations a conspiracy to implicate him.
This trust named One Umbrella was formed in the year 2018 and most of its funding comes from friends and close people. Sometimes the trust also gets money under government schemes. According to the trustee, so far they have taken a loan of about 3 crores from different banks to run this ashram. The trust has currently built 10-foot-high walls, a court to play volleyball inside, many rooms for the mentally ill to live in, and a hall for their entertainment and studies so that the mentally ill can also be taken care of. However, according to some people in the village, the trustee’s behavior is not good towards the people of the village, so people shy away from meeting him.
However, the administration and police have started investigating these sensational allegations. The truth will come out after the investigation but such sensational allegations in Kaushambi, Uttar Pradesh have once again stunned the entire area.
