- Fenugreek: Rich in phytoestrogens and isoflavones, fenugreek reduces estrogen and helps improve the endometrium which helps improve blood flow during periods. It also helps reduce excess sugar and insulin spikes.
- Sesame seeds: Sesame seeds are rich in zinc which helps improve progesterone. They are hot and regulate your periods by reducing phlegm.
- Turmeric and jaggery: Turmeric helps in reducing phlegm and clearing blocked channels. Jaggery is effective in controlling weight.
How to use this home remedy:
Take 1 glass of water, add 1 tsp fenugreek seeds, 1 tsp sesame seeds, 1 small piece of jaggery (5 grams), and 1 tsp turmeric, and boil it on a medium flame for 5-7 minutes. Then strain it and drink it while it is warm. If you are overweight then you can add the juice of half a lemon to it (this will help in weight loss)
When to use it?
If your period is delayed by 3 months or more, drink this tea every morning for 12 weeks. If your period is delayed by 1-2 months, start taking it 2 weeks before your period arrives until your period arrives. If your period is delayed by 15-25 days, take it starting just one week before your period arrives until your period arrives.
