A tragic incident occurred onboard Air India flight AI2845 on Friday morning as a passenger died mid-flight while en route from Delhi to Lucknow. The deceased has been identified as Asif Ullah Ansari. The flight landed at Lucknow’s Amausi Airport at 8:10 AM.

Cause of Death Under Investigation

Initial reports suggest the passenger may have suffered a heart attack during the landing phase of the flight. However, no one on board initially noticed his condition. The onboard medical professionals examined the passenger and declared him dead.

According to airport sources, the passenger had not fastened his seat belt, which drew attention from the crew during landing procedures.

Medical Assistance Was Attempted Onboard

As per statements from the airport administration, the flight crew informed them that the passenger’s health had deteriorated suddenly. Immediate CPR and first aid were administered onboard. He was then transported in a life support ambulance to the hospital, but despite medical efforts, the passenger could not be saved.

Passenger and Crew Reactions

A fellow passenger mentioned that the flight appeared normal until landing. “Everything was normal during the flight, but when the crew reached him, he was unresponsive,” the passenger shared.

No formal response has been issued by the flight crew regarding the incident.

Police Inquiry and Post-Mortem Pending

Local police have taken up the investigation. A post-mortem report will determine the exact cause of death. So far, the preliminary assumption remains a heart attack.

Authorities have not released additional details, but the case is being treated with due seriousness by Lucknow’s airport and medical teams.
