Israel-Hamas War: The war going on between Israel and Hamas is getting more aggressive. Both are carrying out suicide attacks on each other. Meanwhile, Israel has made it clear that it will not rest until it has destroyed Hamas. Meanwhile, Hamas chief Ismail Haniya, who was living in Iran, was also killed. It is being said that Israel has a hand in this.
After this incident, there is a possibility of Iran and other countries joining the war. India is also keeping an eye on this matter. Meanwhile, amid the growing threat of a major war, a group of 25 citizens including former judges, diplomats, activists, writers and economists of the country have written a letter to Defense Minister Rajnath Singh urging to cancellation of the license for export of arms and ammunition to Israel.
The group expressed concern in the letter
The letter states that we are concerned about the continuation of export licenses and permissions to various Indian companies for supplying military weapons and war materials to Israel. The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has ruled that Israel is violating its obligations.
Demand not to give licenses to companies
The letter, dated July 30, said that the supply of any military material to Israel would violate India’s obligations under international humanitarian law and the mandate of Article 21 read with Article 51 (c) of the Constitution of India. We, therefore, urge you to cancel the relevant export licenses and stop granting any new licenses to companies supplying military equipment to Israel.
Many Indian companies are working with Israeli companies
Let us tell you that many government and private companies in India are working with Israeli defense production companies to make weapons. These Indian companies prepare products and parts for Israeli companies. Three Indian companies – Munitions India Limited (MIL), Premier Explosives Limited (PEL), and Adani-Elbit Advanced Systems India Limited have been mentioned in the letter.
