CM Yogi held a meeting with officials on law and order, got these instructions on Rakshabandhan and women’s safety

On Thursday, in the presence of senior government officials, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the law and order and public welfare programs of the state with the officials posted on important posts at the zone, division, range and district levels. In the meeting, preparations were thoroughly reviewed regarding improving the relief and rescue operations of the common people in the current flood situation, organizing festivals in a harmonious atmosphere, etc. and necessary guidelines were given. During this, CM Yogi Adityanath has also given some instructions to the officials.

CM Yogi Adityanath gave these instructions

• In the coming days, there are festivals like Nag Panchami, Shravan Monday, anniversary of Kakori Train Action, Raksha Bandhan, Chehalum and Janmashtami. Along with this, important works like police recruitment examination are also being completed. Certainly, this is a sensitive time from the point of view of law and order. The police and local administration of every district will have to remain alert 24×7.
• This year so far, 12 districts have received more than 120% rainfall, while 27 districts have received normal rainfall. There are 18 districts with less rainfall i.e. 80 to 60% and 14 districts have received extremely less rainfall i.e. 60 to 40%. Jaunpur, Shamli, Fatehpur and other districts are such where less than 40% rainfall has been recorded. Flood situation still prevails in Ballia, Sitapur, Banda, Barabanki, Bijnor, Farrukhabad, Prayagraj and Varanasi. Relief and rescue operations should continue in all the concerned districts as per local requirements.
• There can be no compromise on the quality of food items being given to flood-affected people. Food items less than the prescribed quantity, stale or of poor quality should not be distributed anywhere. If there is any irregularity in the supply by the vendor, immediate action should be taken.
• The centenary year of the historic ‘Kakori Train Action’ is starting tomorrow, 09 August. This entire year will be dedicated to remembering the heroes of freedom. In this series, a public campaign of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is to be organized from 13 to 15 August. During these three days, our national flag Tricolor is to be hoisted at every residence and office in the state. 14 August is ‘Partition Horrors Day’ and 15 August is the national festival ‘Independence Day’. Detailed guidelines have been issued in this regard. Public participation should be increased in all these programs so that they are successful in their basic objectives. Connect schools, colleges, NCC, NSS. This is an occasion for national pride. People of all age groups should be connected to them. 
• Women’s safety is the top priority of the state government. The upcoming 19th August is the auspicious occasion of Shravan Purnima (Rakshabandhan). Some unruly elements may try to spoil the atmosphere. Therefore, increase police patrolling. Be alert-be cautious.
• On the occasion of Rakshabandhan, sisters go to tie Rakhi to their brothers. On this special occasion, women will get free travel facility in the buses of State Road Transport Corporation from the night of 18th August to the night of 19th August. All necessary arrangements in this regard should be made in time.
• Whether it is a farmer’s organization or any other organization, if they want to express their views in a democratic manner, then they must be heard. Their hopes, expectations and fears should be addressed appropriately. But no one can be given the liberty to spread anarchy.
• Social media is becoming a medium for spreading rumours. Keep an eye on it. By distorting facts, such information is being spread that creates animosity in the society. All districts have to remain alert. If there is any fake news, it should be immediately refuted with facts.
• Some anti-national organizations may also try to spoil the atmosphere under the guise of democratic organizations. There have been many such experiences in the past, when some anarchist organizations were present under the guise of peaceful dharna-demonstrators. Investigate them and take strict action if caught. 
• The police recruitment exam is proposed to be held on 23, 24, 25 and 30, 31 August in the last week of August. It is everyone’s responsibility to ensure that this exam is conducted peacefully and safely with complete sanctity. In view of this, all districts will have to remain alert. Senior officers should inspect every examination center in their area minutely. Necessary measures are being taken at the government level to ensure the sanctity of the exam. Strictly follow the instructions given from the higher level. A large number of candidates will travel during the exam, so that there is no inconvenience in travel, arrangements for this should be made in time. Special attention should be paid to the convenience and safety of female candidates.
