IDF personnel disclosed on Sunday that they eliminated 50 Palestinian combatants through their continuous operations in the northern West Bank during the last two weeks according to The Times of Israel.
During operations in Jenin and Tulkarem and the Tamun area IDF military forces killed 35 gunmen and a separate team of 15 gunmen perished in drone strikes. Israeli armed forces acknowledged they struck innocent civilians during these missions by accidentally hitting a toddler and other non-combatants, according to The Times of Israel.
The IDF stated that it secured both 100 detained Palestinian terrorists and more than 40 weapons during its operations. Todd Matross from the IDF announced that security forces also detected and destroyed over 80 explosive devices under the name of Operation Iron Wall.
The military began Operation Week of Thunder on January 21 and it declared that the offensive operations would extend into multiple more weeks. The IDF carried out the destruction of 23 buildings located in the Jenin refugee camps because they claimed these facilities operated as terrorist facilities for their activities according to The Times of Israel.
