Zeenat Aman's fans can now breathe a sigh of relief, as the actress has finally broken her silence regarding her hiatus from social media. The actress of 'Satyam Shivam Sundaram' disclosed that she was busy completing her overdue medical treatments for the past few weeks.
The diva posted some photos of herself in recovery on her Instagram page and also shared, “I won’t hold it against you for assuming that I have simply vanished from the social media landscape. Let’s be honest, my page has been dormant and rather muted for quite some time now. Like they say, what can one do? The monotony of monotony mixed with the stress of my medical treatment had to be managed has consumed my life for the last few weeks…But now that I am on the other side of this experience, I feel like I want to continue nurturing that desire to tell stories on Instagram.”
She also went on to remark that there is no greater motivator to live than the hospital.
"You see there’s nothing like the sombre, clinical cold of a hospital to remind one of what it means to be alive and have a voice! Expect more fashion and personal history, and more dogs and cats…and yes, more cinematic crumbs and opinions. Which topic do you want me to write about? Leave it in the comments and I’ll certainly pick a few to dwell on,” she quoted Zeenat.
The actress of the film ‘Haré Rama Haré Krishna’ added that she spent two years on social media this February, surpassing 800,000 followers.
“Social Media Influencer” best describes Zeenat given her rapid rise on social media. She shares, “Social media transcends boredom. I did complete two years on social media in February while crossing 800,000 followers this April. I started this journey with trepidation, which then transitioned into empowerment intersection disillusionment. Now I must say that I feel curious, and the empowerment feels fresh and new! While I love what this platform offers me, there’s something off about its mechanization— monetized social media, that is.”
“Talking in broader strokes,” she continued, “revealing the dark side of social media. Since I engage with my audience here and occasionally monetize this account, it becomes extremely necessary for me to remind you that Instagram is NOT reality. Gone are the days of simple tv or print advertisements. Nowadays, everything is insidious. Celebrities sell products and endorse them. Endorsements take on an unannounced form, followers are bought, images are unrecognizably photoshopped, and likes? Well, those are manufactured. It’s a point of pride for me that we have grown this community without indulging in these gimmicks, and yet, those borderline unethical ones.”
This was followed by Zeenat dropping a hospital image on her Insta stories captioned, “Yes, I’ve been silent for a while now, but all of that’s about to change.”
