Wife, Lover, and Contract Killer Arrested in Auraiya Murder Case:

A brutal incident similar to Meerut’s Saurabh murder case has been reported in Auraiya, Uttar Pradesh. A woman, along with her lover, planned and executed her husband’s murder. She paid ₹2 lakh to hire a contract killer for the crime.

After receiving information about the incident, police quickly took action. They arrested the wife, her lover, and the contract killer involved. The woman has been identified as Pragati, her lover as Anurag, and the deceased as Dilip Yadav.

Family Reacts: Accused's Sister Demands Justice

News agency ANI interviewed Anurag’s sister about the case. She said if her brother is guilty, he must be sent to jail. She added that no one in their family knew about the murder plot, and they would never have allowed it to happen. “If my brother is involved, he should be punished. He’s currently a B.Sc student,” she told ANI.

According to the investigation, before the murder, Pragati told Anurag that Dilip was wealthy. She claimed that removing him would allow them to live a better life together.

Police Investigation and Arrests

Auraiya SP Abhijeet R. Shankar shared details of the case. On March 19, the police received a tip about an injured man. They reached the scene and rushed the victim to the hospital. The victim, Dilip Yadav, later died during treatment.

A murder case was filed against unknown persons. Using CCTV footage from Operation Trinetra, the police identified a suspect named Ramji Nagar. Investigation teams tracked him down and arrested him along with his associate.
