Varanasi: Varanasi’s newly elected Mayor Ashok Tiwari and councilors of 100 wards will take oath at the Rudraksha Convention Center in the presence of state Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Friday evening. To participate in the swearing-in ceremony, the Deputy Chief Minister will reach Varanasi Police Line by helicopter from Prayagraj district at 3:55 pm. Keeping in view the presence of the Deputy Chief Minister in the ceremony, tight security arrangements have been made in Rudraksha.

After participating in the function, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya will also hold a review meeting with departmental officials of Rural Development and Comprehensive Rural Development, Rural Engineering, Food Processing, Entertainment Tax, Public Enterprises and National Integration at Circuit House.
