Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Union Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda hailed the achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led central government in the nine years here in the Chhattisgarh capital as unparalleled. Munda said that 140 crore people of the country have trusted Prime Minister Modi and this trust has also shown the pace and measure of peace, prosperity and development to the country during the nine-year period from 2014 to 2023.

Munda told the citizens and journalists present at the event that once a rupee sent from Delhi was reduced by 15 paise before reaching the poor, today the entire 100 rupees sent from Delhi reaches the poor. Munda said that in a country that was dependent on polio, tetanus and BCG vaccines for years, Prime Minister Modi delivered vaccines to remote areas via drones and immunized millions of people against Covid in record time. Under the leadership of the Modi government at the Centre, India has not only developed two indigenous vaccines for Covid, but has also supplied life-saving drugs to many countries.

Such a revolution in building housing for the poor

Munda said that such a revolution in the construction of houses for the poor has never been seen before in the history of independent India. Door-to-door toilets have not only reduced crime against women and their diseases, but have also benefited the environment. Munda informed that drinking water supply has been ensured in 12 crore households. Munda also informed that 1121 lakh metric tonnes of food grains are provided free of cost to the poor and more than 3.5 crore families benefit from One Nation-One Ration Card every month.

The Union Minister said that the Central Government felt the pain of the poor and made proper medical arrangements for them. The poor are now free from the fear of disease and treatment problems and their economic consequences. Ensuring availability of sanitary pads, life-saving medicines at affordable rates, central government made treatment up to Rs 5 lakh free through Ayushman Card.

Fertilizer subsidy increased to Rs. 2000 crores

Munda said that the BJP government at the center has taken many revolutionary steps for the welfare of farmers. Fertilizer subsidy increased to Rs. 2000 crores. Claims of farmers worth Rs 1.4 lakh crore were paid under crop insurance. Increasing yield through micro-irrigation has been accelerated in these nine years. Giving farmers an honorarium of Rs 6000 per year is a tribute to the hard work of the country’s farmers. Munda said that during its nine-year tenure, the central government gave every section of the society, every class its right and respect.

The task of converting Indian hope into faith of joy and benefit

Union Minister Munda said that in the last nine years, the Modi government has expanded air travel facilities. Highways which were built at a speed of 12 km per day till 2014 are now being built at a speed of 40 km per day. Similarly, roads under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana have doubled in these nine years. Talking about expansion in rail facilities, Munda said that India currently has the fifth largest metro network in the world and will soon overtake Japan and South Korea. Tripling the education budget under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and bringing out a well-thought-out national education policy course by the central government shows this government’s commitment to building an educated society.

Digital revolution in the country

Union Minister Munda said that the Atal Tunnel has enhanced India’s security by ensuring smooth and quick movement of the Indian Army. While Rs 1.90 lakh crore were deposited in Jan-Dhan accounts, 4.7 crore fake ration cards and 4.14 crore fake LPG connections were also cancelled. Today India is leading the digital revolution. India accounts for 40 percent of the world’s total digital payment transactions. Villages were connected with high speed internet. The concept of self-reliant India was realized through Make in India. Munda said that India is the fastest growing economy in the world today and experts believe that India will become a $40 trillion economy by 2047.

Back of cross-border terrorism broken

Union Minister Munda also mentioned the readiness of the Central Government in the construction of Sri Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Similarly, the central government brought the light of development in the Northeast. Considering national security as paramount, the central government equipped the army with state-of-the-art weapons by spending Rs 1 lakh crore on defense production. Cross-border terrorism was broken through surgical and air strikes. Abolition of Article 370 from Kashmir confirmed the concept of One India One Constitution. Munda also discussed India’s threat on the world stage. The G-20 Summit confirmed India and Prime Minister Modi’s leadership ability.
