This condition, commonly known as “man boobs,” can be caused by hormonal imbalance, poor dietary choices, alcohol consumption, and sedentary lifestyle. The good news is that man boobs can easily be eliminated with proper dieting and exercises.
1. Push-Ups
Push ups are considered to be basic and effective exercises for the rendering the chest, shoulder and arm regions.
Do 3 sets of 15-20 repetitions each day.
Gradually tones the body and reduces fat in the regions subjected to exercise.
Can be performed anywhere while sitting or resting as no equipment is needed.
2. Bench Press
Bench press is practically useful for every person going to the gym as it works a number of muscles of the chest.
Flat, incline, and decline bench presses can also be done.
Helps in defining and strengthening muscles.
Effective in shaping the overall upper chest.
3. Dumbell Flye
This exercise stretches and isolates segmental muscles of the chest making them shapely and trims fat.
A person is in a flat bench holding a dumbell in both hands.
Extend your arms as wide as possible, then bring them together very slowly.
3 sets of 10 to 12 repetitions should be performed.
4. Cardio Workout
Workouts of this nature should be incorporated in exercises meant to burn fat around the chest.
Do running, cycling, jumping jacks and burpees.
Should be done for a minimum of 30 minutes intervals at least four times every week.
Increased overall fat burning and metabolic rate.
5. Plank to Push-Up
Helps with fat loss and toning, as well as providing area specific muscle definition.
From a plank position, transition into a push-up.
This fishtail exercise strengthens the core, arms, and chest.
Goal is 3 sets of 10 to 15 repetitions.
