MK Stalin, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, has once again renewed his request for a meeting with Prime Minister Modi, asserting that there is an urgent need to discuss the growing apprehension regarding the proposed delimitation. Stalin is attempting to file a memorandum which consolidates the position of several political parties in the country.

Request Made on Behalf of Joint Action Committee on Fair Delimitation

While posting on X, Stalin said: . . . We are looking forward to your earliest available appointment as we seek to discuss an important matter pertaining to our people, your time is crucial… it goes without saying that we are seeking to address the matter with utmost urgency.

Also, he posted a letter to the PM dated March 27, 2025 where he asked for a meeting with him so eh could present the joint memorandum.

Background on the Delimitation Concerns and Nationwide Participation

The CM recalled that the inaugural meeting of the Joint Action Committee on Fair Delimination occurred in Chennai on March 22, 2025. The event was attended by Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers and senior leaders of all political stripes rallying behind a single cause, the proposed delimitation.

While writing a letter to PM Modi, Stalin stressed on point which is “People outside of this house have been waiting for us to resolve this issue. They can only hope that their voices are heard in this Parliamentary democracy.”

For both states and citizens, this issue is extremely important, which is why he requested a meeting in order to present the memorandum for the Joint Action Committee.
