Lucknow: After the question hour in the assembly, State Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna presented the second supplementary budget for the financial year 2024-25 in the House. Khanna said that I have brought the second supplementary budget for the financial year 2024-25 in this House, whose size is Rs 17865 crore. This is 2.42 percent of the original budget of Rs 7 lakh 36 thousand 437.71 crore. He said that this government gives priority to development, so a second supplementary budget is required. The first supplementary budget was Rs 12209.93 crore and this second supplementary budget is Rs 17865.72 crore. Combining both, the size of the budget for the financial year 2024-25 will be Rs 7 lakh 66 thousand 513.36 crore.

Presenting the supplementary budget, Suresh Khanna said that it includes new proposals of Rs 790.49 crore. There is a proposal of Rs 30.48 crore for contingency budget. Apart from this, there is a proposal of Rs 8587.27 crore for Energy Department, Rs 2438.63 crore for Finance Department, Rs 1592.28 crore for Family Welfare, Rs 1001 crore for Animal Husbandry Department, Rs 805 crore for Public Works Department, Rs 515 crore for Primary Education, Rs 505 crore for Information Department, Rs 454.01 crore for Panchayati Raj and Rs 354.54 crore for Medical Education and Training.
Seven lakh people were given jobs in UP
CM Yogi, while counting the achievements of the government in the assembly, said that 1.60 lakh recruitments have been done in the education department alone in UP. 1.56 lakh recruitments have been done in the police department. Seven lakh recruitments have been done in all the departments together. Reservation has been taken care of in recruitments. In the previous government, 56 out of 86 posts were filled from one caste. The chairman of UP Public Service Commission was made in the SP government who was not even fit to be a teacher. He said that a Congress MP is roaming around with a bag of Palestine. We are sending people of UP to Israel for employment.
Shivpal Yadav surrounded BJP
Samajwadi Party leader Shivpal Singh Yadav said that we have also been in government four times. We have also brought supplementary budget and spent it. These people bring supplementary budget every time and are unable to spend it…they have not been able to complete any work, have not been able to spend the budget. On One Nation One Election, he said that Samajwadi Party is against it. They are bringing dictatorship in the country and ending democracy.
