RM Makes History at 2025 AMAs with First Solo Win as Favourite K-pop Artist:

The honor made him the first K-Pop artist to receive the accolade as an individual and as a group member cementing his legacy as a solo artist further.

Military Parole Just Won K-Pop

Due to ongoing obligatory military service in South Korea, RM could not step out to the awards show physically and share his undying appreciation pause on Instagram thanking the fans by reposting BTS’s announcement of his win saying, “Thanks @amas #ARMY,” thanking the entire world.

He further reshared the article revealing BTS's military discharge tabs with the caption “It will be soon, seriously, soon,” expressing his frustration on how badly hew wanted to stop making music, saying how bad he wanted want to return back to work with the Bangtan Boys.

The 2025 AMAs added to the overarching Bang Bang as one of their primary initiatives of the year dishing out of their Favorite K-Pop Artist category with the nominees being Stray Kids, ATEEZ, Jimin from BTS and BLACKPINK’s very own Rose. The victory was substantiated through fan votes claiming RM’s power backed by best buddies from ARMY, propelling him into his inaugural American award for independent artists, which garnered tremendous appreciation ending this being a winning mark decorated with support from other BTS fans.
