He provided stable leadership to one of India’s oldest and most prestigious business houses. Also, his contribution went far beyond the boardroom. He made his place among many due to his humility, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to improving our society.’

He was at the forefront of advancing issues like education, healthcare, cleanliness, and animal welfare. I remember my countless meetings with Shri Ratan Tata ji. When I was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, I used to meet him often. We used to exchange views on various issues. I found his views very useful. These meetings continued even when he came to Delhi. I am deeply saddened by his demise. My condolences are with his family, friends, and fans in this hour of grief. Om Shanti.’

He seemed like a patriot and always a simple person. I have always seen Ratan Tata following protocol. I have seen how good his thinking was. Most industrialists set up industries for money. But he used to tell everyone that if you people want to set up industries, it should always be in the national interest.
