Noida Latest News: The people of Noida, the largest industrialized city in Uttar Pradesh, now have the good news of more railway stations in their vicinity. No longer will it be necessary to rush to Ghaziabad or New Delhi to board long distance trains. The multi-transport hub being constructed in Bodaki will also be an Eastern terminus.

The East Indian Railway has recently approved a new plan for its operations’ area extension for some of its trains operating in the eastern sector. It is expected that the Old Delhi, New Delhi and Anand Vihar and even Ghaziabad railways stations will be less congested. Passengers from Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Ghaziabad will get the facility. Connection with the bus station, Metro rail and Jewar airport will also be provided. The Noida-Greater Noida metro line will also be extended. Local bus services will also be initiated from this point.

What is a multimodal transport hub?

This hub is under construction in the area of Bodaki, for which land of eight villages was taken. The project area will be horizontally 478 hectares, and have tectonic vertical boundaries. It will include Railway Terminal, Inter State Bus Terminal and Metro Terminal.

At present, these two routes are under construction to enhance this area’s accessibility.

The first route connects GT Road to the Logistics Hub.

The Expansion of a 2.5 km section on GT road will increase the two-lane road to six lanes.

Vehicles from the Logistics Hub will be able to access the Eastern Peripheral Expressway and Yamuna Expressway via the Bill Akbarpur Interchange through an underpass that will be built north of Shiv Nadar University.

An interchange close to Dankaur will also be constructed to direct traffic to the e Noida Airport.

The second route

will link the transport hub with the Sirsa interchange by a 130 meter wide cross road.

From there, vehicles can conveniently access the Noida airport using the Eastern Peripheral and Yamuna Expressways.

Alongside, these three projects will also aid in the elevation of the rail and air infrastructure, additionally to the road. It’s hopeful that roughly two hundred thousand people would benefit from this directly in terms of employment.

This hub will service the Noida, Greater Noida, and Yamuna Authority, which shows how crucial the Multimodal logistics hub is for industries.

Goods will take four to five days to reach cities like Mumbai, Kolkata, Gujarat, but after the project is completed goods will reach in twenty four hours. The logistics hub will also include a warehouse and cold storage unit.

Transport and logistics hub will be completed in three years

Greater Noida Authority plans to develop the transport and logistics hub in the next three years. Meanwhile, the first phase involves improvement of road connectivity. As per the CEO of Greater Noida Authority, the tenders for these projects will be floated shortly.

With Noida International Airport opening up, there is increased investment into Greater Noida which has made the region Greno eye-catchingly known as the first stop for the airport. This improvement have transformed the mic-iitgnl region for these three projects.
