Klaus Schwab, the founder of the Wold Economic Forum (WEF), has officially taken a step back from his position as Chairman and Board member, bringing to a close 55 years of WEF leadership.

"Concerning my previous announcement and as I turn 88, I have made up my mind to quite the position of Chair and also a Board of Trustees member effective immediately,” said Schwab.
