Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Kim Kardashian appeared in a Paris courtroom on Tuesday to give evidence in the ongoing trial concerning the robbery which attacked her in 2016. The TV star and businesswoman recounts vividly how men with masks on invaded her hotel room, tied her up, and burglarized more than six million dollars worth of jewelry.

Kardashian detailed that she was about to take a nap when she heard noises resembling footsteps. She thought it was her sister, but instead, two masked kidnappers with a handcuffed hotel concierge dressed up as officers walked in.

Kardashian attempted to call for assistance, but due to residing in France, she did not know the emergency number. One of the men took her phone. She was tossed onto a bed and restrained, with a gun pressed against her.

“I have babies. I have to make it home,” pleaded Kardashian, fearing for her life. Recapping how her guard fell undone, she claimed she was scared of sexual violence. One of the kidnappers assured her in English that she would be safe as long as she remained silent. He then covered her mouth with tape and dragged her to the bathroom.

Her stylist was discovered to be downstairs, so she attempted freeing up her hands. They concealed themselves on a balcony, outdoors, and called for assistance, fearing the culprits might return.

Among valuables lost were the diamond ring alongside a watch which was gifted by her father before his death. Kardashian emphasized that the loss incurred was not solely monetary, but in essence, incredibly personal.

Kardashian chronicled how the ordeal changed her perceptions concerning safety. She no longer keeps valuable objects at home, travels with several bodyguards, and she no longer uses social media to check-in real-time. Voluntarily set location features have to be disabled till the user arrives at the intended destination.

She noted how she believes her Los Angeles residence was victim to a copycat burglary after her Paris robbery.

A Moment of Forgiveness in Court

A letter from one of the defendants, who happens to be too sick to attend, was read in front of everyone. The gentleman expressed an apology. Kardashian seemed touched and said, “I forgive you for what had taken place. It does change the emotion, the trauma, the way my life is, and will be, forever altered.”

Kardashian also explained her belief toward second chances and rehabilitations on noted dependents while referencing her law studies and endeavors on prison reform.

During the court appearance, Kardashian sported a necklace valued at 1.5 million dollars. The purchase indicated reclaiming personal power and was interpreted as a bold sign of defiance.

Case Background and Charges

Twelve people were initially indicted. One of them has passed away, and another is excused for medical reasons. Some of the defendants, referred to as the “grandpa robbers” because of their advanced age, are facing serious charges including armed robbery, kidnapping and many more. If they are found guilty, they may be sentenced to life in prison.

Kardashian’s Final Statement

Kardashian expressed gratitude for the opportunity to provide testimony. "This is my closure," she stated. “I am putting this, hopefully, to rest.”
