Kanpur Couple Publicly Assaulted by Man’s Parents Over Relationship Dispute:

Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Troubling developments came to light concerning a public assault that occurred in Kanpur on a 21-year-old man along with his 19-year-old girlfriend. The assailants in this case were the man’s parents who opposed the couple’s relationship. This event took place on the Ramgopal Chauraha, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Gujaini police station and has now gone viral on social media.

What Has Been Reported As An Altercation

The couple in question Rohit and his girlfriend were enjoying some chowmein at a roadside vendor when Rohit’s parents, Shivkaran and Sushila, arrived unexpectedly. The parents famously attacked both their son and his girlfriend in broad daylight.

Various eyewitness accounts state that Sushila inflicted some form of a slap on her son along with physically assaulting the girl by pulling her hair, infamously known as ‘the bullies’ tactic. Rohit’s father also joined in on the fun and slapped his son with a slipper. Attempts to escape on a two wheeler proved useless as the couple was blocked.

Moreover, some witnesses believed that the couple was spotted loitering around unauthorized food stalls quite often which was likely the reason for the increased scrutiny.

Onlookers Gther The Police Arrive First

The attention of many bystanders began to pour in which by default led to an increase in the crowd at the scene.

Some of the citizens took it upon themselves to intervene and further progress the fight and abuse towards the young boy. Police separated the groups only after everything escalated.

“Such that the police guided the two parties in question, after which both parties were separated, and other steps as appropriate have been initiated,” was the statement made by the officials from Gujaini police station.
