Suspense Crime, Digital Desk : While attending a meeting in Doha on Saturday , Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi emphasized that Iran would not negotiate over its nuclear rights if the United States tried to rescind them. The comment came in the context of the Iran- US talks which were supposed to happen the very next day in Oman.

As stated in the Iranian media, Araqchi commented, “If the purpose of these talks is to say Iran’s nuclear rights, Iran will not accept under any circumstances.”

No Change on Uranium Enrichment Position

Iran continues to insist that its uranium enrichment program is non-negotiable and strongly opposes demands from U.S. officials for “zero enrichment.” This demand follows a statement made by U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff who claimed that any agreement with Washington must include the dismantling of Iran's enrichment facilities.

In 2015 Trump withdrew from the nuclear deal, which was intended to curb Iran’s nuclear activities. He has since consistently threatened military intervention without a new agreement.

Nuclear Developments “Peaceful” As Stated by Tehran

The Iranian government claims its nuclear advancements are solely for peaceful uses and rejects any allegations of developing nuclear weapons. This was reinforced by Araqchi’s statement: “Iran continues these negotiations as sincerely as possible. If the talks are aimed at preventing the acquisition of nuclear weapons, then an agreement can be reached. However, if the purpose is to curtail Iran’s lawful nuclear endeavors, then Iran will not comply.”
