Indore: A case of vandalism before the installation of an idol in a temple in the city has come to light. The incident happened on Saturday late night. The incident came to light on Sunday morning when the door of the temple was opened. Currently, the police have registered a case and are searching for the accused on the basis of CCTV footage.

According to information, it was being prepared in the newly constructed sanctum sanctorum of the temple located in Itwaria Bazar. A statue of Khatu Shyam is to be installed in the temple. Late on Saturday night, some unknown anti-social elements entered the temple and vandalized it. The incident came to light when the priest reached the temple on Sunday morning. After receiving the information about the incident, the people of the temple management committee reached the police. The police reached the spot and collected the evidence. Police are looking for the accused on the basis of CCTV.
