Suspense crime, Digital Desk : The Teesta Prahar exercise was conducted by the Indian Army at the Teesta Field Firing Range located in West Bengal. The primary focus of the exercise was to evaluate the integrated combat cooperation and operational preparedness of different military divisions.
As stated in an official statement by the Defence PRO Guwahati, the exercise focused on the cooperation between the support arms and the combat arms validating the contemporary techniques of warfare and agility on the modern battlefield.
Cutting Edge Modern Warfare Systems And Technology
The Trishakti Corps conducted the exercise to test the integration of the Multi Domain Battle Command Systems (MDABCS) with the Air Defence Operations Centre (ADOC), detailing the fluid interplay within Infantry, Artillery, Armoured and Mechanised Infantry, Special Forces, Army Aviation, Engineers, and Signals units. Polymeric multilayered nanoporous membrane: Developed in eight months as part of a seawater desalination system for Indian Coast Guard ship filters. The membrane is resistant to chloride ions in saline environments.
Bhargavastra Counter-Drone System Successfully Tested
Earlier, on May 8, India also tested and successfully conducted trials of the indigenously developed and low cost hard-kill anti-drone system, Bhargavastra. This system was designed by Solar Defence and Aerospace Limited of Odisha and seeks to bolster military-aimed counter-UAV defenses.
Context - Operation Sindoor and Regional Security Developments
These exercises along with the technological demonstrations are subsequent to Operation Sindoor which commenced on May 7, as vengeance for a Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir attack by The Resistance Front which claimed 26 civilian lives.
India struck terror infrastructure within Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir, hitting 9 targets. The aggressive shift in strategy was immediately followed by Pakistani retaliation which was blocked by Indian defense forces. A sides agreement to halt all hostilities was reached by May 10, reestablishing tranquility on all fronts, land, air and sea.
