Balotra: A horrific road accident has taken place in Balotra, Rajasthan. Two people have died and a woman has been injured in a massive collision between two bikes. The incident took place on Tuesday evening in the Gida police station area of ​​Balotra district. The accident took place near Bhomiya Ji Than on the Jajwa-Gida road.

After a head-on collision between two bikes, their petrol tanks exploded. After the explosion, both the bikes caught fire, in which one bike rider was burnt alive and the other died in the hospital. Gida police station officer Devaram said that Jajwa resident Shravan (30) son of Ramaram was returning to his village from Gida on his bike. On the other hand, Lapunda resident Swaruparam (35) son of Kanaram was going from Jajwa to Gida with his wife Bhuri Devi.

At around 6:30 pm, both the bikes collided head-on near Bhomiya Ji Than. The collision was so severe that the petrol tanks of both the bikes burst and both the vehicles caught fire in no time. Shravan died on the spot and Swaruparam died in the hospital.

Due to the explosion, Shravan caught fire and was burnt alive on the spot. Swaruparam, on the other hand, was thrown on the road after the collision and was seriously injured. Local people tried to extinguish the fire with sand and water, but the fire was so intense that they could not save Shravan.

The injured couple was rushed to the hospital.

After the incident, the people from the nearby area reached the spot and took the injured Swaruparam and his wife Bhuri Devi to Gida Hospital. There the doctors declared Swaruparam dead.

Police started investigation

As soon as the information about the accident was received, Gida police reached the spot and shifted the bodies of both the deceased to the mortuary of Gida Hospital. Police said that the postmortem of the bodies will be done on Wednesday morning in the presence of the family members and then they will be handed over to them.
