Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar’s film, Ground Zero featuring Zoya Hussain, Sai Tamhankar, and Emraan Hashmi, was recently released in theatres to high expectations. Following a positive reception from the audience and strong critical acclaim, the film went on to do strongly at the box office. However, it appears that the film is falling short in opening day box office collection.

The whole nation was recovering from grief due to the Pahalgam terror attack that was unleashed. While this left a huge emotional impact on people, it also made profound changes and came into headlines across the nation, helping the film severely. However, the film still needed strong word of mouth to perform well Ground Zero means that text will bring.

Day-One Box Office Performance

Most analysts are estimating that Ground Zero earned somewhere between ₹1 crore to ₹1.50 crores on opening day. This puts it ahead of Superboys Of Malegaon (₹50 Lakhs) and barely surpassing Crazzy (₹1.10 crores). It still falls bottom among Bollywood openers of 2025.

As of now, here is a list of the bottom five Bollywood openings of this year:

Superboys Of Malegaon: ₹50 Lakhs
Crazzy: ₹1.10 Crores
Loveyapa: ₹1.25 Crores
Ground Zero: ₹1-1.50 Crores (Estimates)
Azaad: ₹1.50 Crores

Problems in Reserves for Ground Zero

Ground Zero has unfavorable reviews and doesn’t make the cut to the top 10 openers collection of 2025. If they had managed or reached the expectation of surpassing ₹3.11 crores which makes you eligible Ios.

The competition has become exceptionally fierce. Akshay Kumar’s Kesari Chapter 2 still rules the box office and so does Sunny Deol’s Jaat. If Ground Zero doesn't get a significant surge by the weekend, it will very easily go under the radar with the upcoming releases of Raid 2 and The Bhootnii.
