A massive fire erupted at Anupapatti village in the Theni district of Tamil Nadu, India, and this took place in the set of Dhanush’s upcoming Tamil film Idly Kadai. Luckily, no one seems to be injured, but local authorities are looking into the incident.

The street with shops and residential structures set for the film was designed but not fully constructed as the production team was filming at a different location. The fire started while the crew was getting ready for the shoot, which created panic for the cast and crew.

Idly Kadai Is Directed and Produced by Dhanush

Dhanush is set to direct and star in the lead role of Idly Kadai, with Dhanush c0-producing the film alongside Dawn Pictures. The film will also have distribution handled by Red Giant Movies. The premiere date for public release is set on October 1, 2025.

Even with all the havoc, the production crew is still dead set on maintaining their timeline. Although it will presumably take some time before the set is able to resume planned activities, wrecking activities will have to be stopped until assessments of the damage are completed.
