
Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone are all set to reunite on screen in SRK’s upcoming production King, according to a report by PeepingMoon.com. The movie, which marks the debut of Suhana Khan in a pivotal role, is being directed by Siddharth Anand and jointly produced by Marflix Productions and Red Chillies Entertainment.
Deepika to Play Suhana Khan’s Mother in an Emotional Cameo
In King, Deepika Padukone will appear in an extended cameo as the former lover of SRK’s character and the mother of Suhana Khan’s character. Though her screen time may be limited, her role is said to be a key emotional anchor in the narrative. Both Shah Rukh Khan and director Siddharth Anand were reportedly eager to cast her in this significant role.
Film’s Plot: A Dark Revenge-Driven Storyline
The film is described as a revenge thriller, with Shah Rukh Khan reportedly playing the role of a skilled assassin. The plot unfolds as he and Suhana Khan's character seek vengeance following a tragic incident. The movie is said to draw inspiration from the 2000 film Bichhoo, which itself was an unofficial adaptation of the French classic Léon: The Professional (1994).
A Powerhouse Cast and Exciting Cameos
In addition to SRK and Deepika, King will feature:
Abhishek Bachchan in a negative role
Abhay Verma (Munjya fame) in a pivotal part
The film is currently in its pre-production stage, with shooting expected to begin next month in Mumbai. King is being targeted for a 2026 theatrical release.
