Crores of customers will have to pay the charge of changing 2000 notes in these banks including Jatco, SBI

2000 note exchange: If you also have a 2000 rupee note and now you have decided to go to the bank to exchange it, then it is important for you to know. RBI has recently decided to demonetise the Rs 2000 note. In such a situation, people will have to deposit the 2000 note in the bank or else it will have to be changed. But if you are a customer of SBI, ICICI or Kotak Bank and you have a 2000 note, now you will have to pay a charge for exchanging it. Many banks including SBI charge for exchange of notes.

 

RBI has allowed customers to exchange 10 notes of Rs 2000 or Rs 20,000 at a time. Customers will be able to exchange notes from 23 May 2023 to 30 September 2023. At present, banks have decided to charge for exchange of notes. State Bank of India, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and Kotak Bank have decided to charge customers.

SBI is offering the facility of 3 free cash deposits to the customers. After this, the bank has decided to take GST along with Rs 50. Apart from this, this facility will also be applicable to any customer depositing money in his account. On depositing money through debit card, GST has to be deposited along with Rs 22.

HDFC bank

Apart from this, private bank HDFC Bank is giving customers the facility of 4 free transactions every month. If you transact beyond this limit, you will have to pay Rs 150 as a transaction fee. Apart from this, customers can deposit Rs 2 lakh every month after the limit. If you deposit more than this, you will have to pay a tax of Rs 5 or Rs 150.

ICICI Bank

Apart from this, the private sector has given the facility of free transaction 4 times in a month. Transactions above this will attract a fee of Rs 150. Customers can deposit only Rs 1 lakh in a month in their savings account. Beyond this limit Rs 5 per 1000 or Rs 150 whichever is higher.

Kotak Bank

Kotak Bank customers have been asked to give 5 free transactions. In which customers get the facility of both deposit and withdrawal. Around Rs 150 will be taken as a charge.
