China’s Foreign Ministry on Friday termed as “groundless” an accusation by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy claiming that China is supplying arms to Russia.  

China has maintained a position of regard to Russia’s economic relations and has made little moves to show military alliance throughout the war in Ukraine. Nonetheless, they have opposed bearing the brunt of blame for any direct hostility.

During a press conference on the 19th of April, Zelenskiy claimed that China was delivering arms and gunpowder to Russia and additionally claimed that parts were manufactured within Russia. The Chinese Foreign Ministry issued a rebuttal to those comments.

Zelenskiy’s allegation prompted a response from Lin Jian who noted his remarks during a press conference. According to Lin Jian, China has never provided arms to any party in the Ukraine conflict—direct or through proxy.

Promoting violence and conflict is one thing, but claiming to take on a world authority with no evidence is something China does not condone.

It was already reported that China will take any measure to prevent having to shoulder any form of blame towards the claims made by Lin that Ukraine acknowledged the origin of many components from weaponry utilized by the Russians being from western nations such vertebrates currency.
