The 2014 television drama Beintehaa led to the rise of Preetika Rao and recently, she made headlines after criticizing a fan’s Instagram edit of her and co-star Harshad Arora alongside a romantic song. The mashup edited both their scenes, putting their on-screen chemistry into full display, but the reaction was rather unexpected.
A now-deleted comment captures her saying:
“Don’t edit reels on man who sleeps with every woman. In Beintehaa, out of 95% of no touch and we had 5% of scenes and you are blasting this all throughout against my wishes.”
Most fans were taken aback given her blunt tone and serious accusations, harsh as they may be, because they. The show has been off air for over a decade.
Harshad Arora Responds, Calls Remarks ‘Irrelevant’
In a recent interview given to The Times of India, Harshad found the comments brought up by Preetika to be in poor taste and decided to clear the air. He articulates a different form of surprise with:
“I don’t understand why she would come out there and say something like this–for attention, or whatever. Irrelevant as it may be, it has been so many years and for no reason, why would you write such a statement?”
According to him, the two had not spoken post the show’s wrap, though they did have personal differences on set, they managed to stay cordial at a working level.
Issues Regarding Preetika’s Instagram Account
Harshad further claimed that some other person may be running Preetika’s Instagram account, but he does not appear to be fully convinced.
“Although I have come across some stories saying that an account was being managed by someone else, I completely think nothing goes out without the account holder’s knowledge.”
He bashed this as an unwanted and reprehensible remark and added why in the world has Preetika not sorted this out claiming that infotainment suggests she is on a holiday and is out of reach.
Harshad Calls Out Shuts Down Discussion Credits Wife’s Support.
In what he termed as outdated, Halshad emphasized that
“Move on. You just can’t be Aaliya all the time and be in that zone. Get out of the fantasy,” he added.
Harshad, now married to actress Muskan Rajput, noted that the concern hasn’t impacted his personal life,
“Thankfully my wife is very understanding. She knows the nature of my work and stands by me,” he explained.
Preetika Yet to Respond Publicly
As it stands, Preetika Rao has provided no additional statements or clarifications about the issue. Considering the fame Beintehaa received and the iconic pairing, the dispute has garnered renewed attention on social media.
