Global Trend of iCloud+ Price Adjustments
This is not the first round of iCloud+ pricing changes in 2024. Earlier this year, Apple raised subscription rates in over 10 countries, including Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Turkey, and Nigeria. These increases reflect Apple’s ongoing global pricing adjustments, possibly tied to currency shifts, tax policies, or local market dynamics.
iCloud+ Prices Unchanged in India and Key Western Markets
Countries like the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada have not yet seen any changes in iCloud+ pricing. In India, the current rates remain:
50GB: Rs 75/month
200GB: Rs 219/month
2TB: Rs 749/month
There is no official statement from Apple about future pricing changes in India, but trends suggest possible revisions later in 2024.
What This Means for Users
While individual plan increases may appear modest, the impact can be significant for users sharing storage with family or storing large amounts of data. With no official comment from Apple on the rationale behind the hikes, users may begin to evaluate alternative cloud storage options.
